RTO-I not recieves any tax return filed through VTCS help desk at LCCI

LAHORE: Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) of Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) not received any tax return filed through Voluantary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS) till yet date from Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) help desk after passage of 100 days. Sources informed Customs Today, that Regional Tax Office-I established facilitation desk at LCCI in January to educate and facilitate taxpayers about Voluantary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS). RTO-I also allows the taxpayers that they can file the tax returns at the facilitation desk.

Staff deputed at LCCI facilitation desk told Customs Today that they did not receive a single tax returns which was filed through Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme till todate.

Sources said that many traders, industrialists and citizens visited facilitation desk and asks about the LCCI and other related issues and asks the procedure of National Tax Number (NTN), sales tax procedure and ask to download the income tax return.

Sources said that facilitation desk of Regional Tax Office one (RTO-I) become information department of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
