RTO-I blacklists six tax defaulter companies in Karachi, Mirpur Khas

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-I (RTO-I) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has blacklisted six Karachi and Mirpur Khas-based companies on the charges of tax evasion.

Earlier, the RTO-I had issued notices to four Karachi-based factories, including Salman Garments, Saira Enterprises, Ghafoor Traders and Haroon and Sons, while two notices were issued to Sanam Textiles and Usman Chemicals, Mirpur Khas-based factories to reply the allegations.

But the said factories did not reply to the notices on which the RTO-I officials informed the FBR headquarters. The FBR, taking legal action, ordered to declare them as blacklisted. The sources said that almost four more companies could be put on blacklist.
