RTO-I recovers Rs 8.6m sales tax from 3 companies

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has recovered Rs 8.622 million in wake of sales tax from three companies, which were issued notices by the department.

RTO-I Additional Commissioner Rana Farooq said that notices for the recovery of sales tax were issued to three Karachi-based companies almost three weeks ago. The department served notices on Sigma Water Dispenser and Export, Al Amin Traders and Al Mubashir Hamza Export International.

Responding to the notices, the Sigma Water Dispenser deposited Rs 2.41 million, Al Amin Traders Rs 2.612 million and Al Mubashir Hamza submitted Rs 3.6 million.

The additional collector further said that the department was going to issue notices to another 70 companies, adding that a revenue of Rs 190 million was expected in this action.
