RTO-II arrests factory owner for Rs 28 million tax evasion

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax office-II (RTO-II) Zone-IV has arrested Rana Ashiq, owners of Anmol Engineering Works and co-owner of Al Faisal Exports, on charges of sales tax evasion amounting to Rs 28 million.

Sources said that Ashiq had deposited the cheques as tax payments which were dishonoured by the relevant bank due to the insufficient balance on which the officials of the RTO took action and raided the factory of the accused to arrest him. The team has arrested the one while conducting raids to arrest other accused.
