RTO-II assigned Rs 8b target for May

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has assigned a target of Rs 8 billion to the Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) for running month, May 2016.

According to the details, the FBR had assigned a target of Rs 7.078 billion to the RTO-II in previous month, April. The current target is Rs 922 million more than the last month.

The RTO-II has been asked to collect Rs 300 million in wake sales tax, Rs 4.666 billion in wake of income tax and Rs 34 million as federal excise duty (FED).

Meanwhile, the chief commissioner has instructed all officers and officials to expedite the efforts in order to achieve the target. He also directed them to take stern action against the tax defaulters.
