LAHORE: Regional Tax Office-II received 248 tax returns filed through Voluantary Tax Compliance Scheme(VTCS) and generated a revenue of Rs 27 million till 10th March 2016.
Sources of RTO-II told Customs Today that Regional Tax Office-II Lahore received 132 tax returns amounting to Rs 17million under the VTCS till March 1, 2016. Now the filed returns touched the figure of 248 till March 10.
Sources said that as the deadline for filing of tax returns through VTCS is approaching more traders are filing tax returns. FBR authorities are also asked traders community to avail the benefits of VTCS, while on the other hand FBR also warned that stern action will be taken after expiry of deadline of filing of tax returns through VTCS.
