RTO-II generates Rs 37.3 billion in 15 days of February

KARACHI: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) collected Rs 37.321 billion in the wake of taxes during the first 15 days of the current month, February 2016.

As per details, the RTO-II has recovered Rs 35.822 billion in wake of income tax, Rs 1.356 billion under the head of sales tax and Rs 143 million as Federal Excise Duty (FED).

During the last month, it had collected Rs 86.102 billion under all heads of taxes. It had recovered Rs 84.098 billion as income tax, Rs 1.803 billion as sales tax and Rs 201 million under the head of FED.

Additional Commissioner Malik Safdar said that RTO was struggling to achieve the revenue targets, adding that the set target of the current financial year will be achieved.
