RTO-II recovers Rs 14 million from Cresent Seeds and Allied Products

LAHORE: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) has recovered Rs 14 million by attaching the bank accounts of Cresent Seeds and Allied Products.

According to the details, the RTO-II Zone-IX attached the bank accounts of the company following tax evasion of Rs 50 million. The company was not filing the income tax since the year 2014.

Taking action, the recovery team comprising Commissiner Ghulam Mujtaba Bhatti, Additional Commissiner Muhammad Ali, Assistant Commissioner Sana Ghuas and Inspector Asghar Ali Verya seized two bank accounts in Habib Bank Limited (HBL) and Muslim Commercial Bank (MCB).

Officials said that tax recovery campaign will continue against the tax defaulters in order to meet the revenue target for current fiscal year 2015-16. They added that Chief Commissioner Khawaja Adnan Zaheer was encouraging the teams for maximum tax collection and recovery.
