RTO-II recovers Rs 57.8 million from 3 companies

KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) has collected Rs 57.8 million as sales tax from four companies, besides sending notices to two more companies on alleged tax evasion.

Sources informed Customs Today that three companies include M/s Al-Faraz Scrape Works, M/s Jahania Scrape and M/s Sawati Textile deposited their taxes after receiving final notice from the FBR.

The RTO recovered Rs 12.2 million from Al-Faraz Scrap Works, Rs 19.2 million from Jahania Scrap and Rs 14.6 million from Sawati Textiles and Rs 11.8 million from  Sharjeel Garments and Export.

Sources said that final notice has issued to two companies Nexion & Nixon and Indoor Garments and Exports directing them to pay taxes till May 2 in order to avoid the legal actions.
