ISLAMABAD: The Regional Tax Office-III (RTO-III) has recovered Rs 209 billion under the head of different taxes during January while Rs 171 billion were collected during the same period of the previous year.
Additional Commissioner RTO-III Safdar Khan told Customs Today that the FBR has set a revenue target of Rs 204 billion for January but the department successfully collected Rs 209 billion during the period. He disclosed that the RTO collected Rs 1,594 billion during the first seven months of the current fiscal year. He said that due to decrease in oil prices in international market, we will definitely achieve our revenue target.
On the other hand FBR already started a campaign urging traders to get maximum benefits of tax amnesty scheme announced by the government. Different teams are formed in this regard to conduct interation with traders community.
