LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office Lahore has issued final show cause notices to nine employees to counter the allegations leveled against them.
The RTO Lahore had issued charge sheet of allegations to 23 persons after the clash between FBR union and administrations on the day of prayer ceremony for martyrs of Peshawar incident. Sources added that authorities have leveled baseless allegations against the employees just to demolish the FBR Union.
Talking to Customs Today, an official who received a show cause notice said: “We are are being victimised just for having links with the FBR union, which is not acceptable to the bureaucracy.”
The authorities have leveled allegations that slogans were raised against the government, employees were harassed and brought outside the office forcibly, etc. Meanwhile, the suspended officials claimed that all allegations were baseless as no evidence was provided to the aggrieved employees.
On the other hand, an official said that suspended officers should reply to the show cause notices to the Human Resource Department, while the chief commissioner should also show leniency towards the employees who had served the department for many years.
