RTO sends notices to Ahmed Shehzad, Umer Akmal for payment of income tax

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office (RTO) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent notices to cricketers, Ahmed Shehzad and Umer Akmal, as both had failed to pay their tax liabilities for the financial year 2013-14.

Source said that the Regional Tax Office sent notices to both cricketers for the clearance of their outstanding dues and now the FBR will receive the tax amount with fine.

Sources said that the RTO has sped up its tax recovery campaign. In the first phase, the FBR has started sending notices to defaulters while on the second stage, the FBR will freeze bank accounts of tax defaulters.
