RTO sends notice to cricketer Rahat Ali for payment of income tax

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Office-II (RTO-II) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has sent notice to cricketer Rahat Ali to clear the tax amount pending against him. Rahat Ali has not submitted any tax returns since 2013.

According to the details, RTO-II has sent notice to test cricketer Rahat Ali due to income tax evasion. Cricketer has not filed the income tax return and did not pay his tax liabilities for the financial year 2013-14 and also failed to file wealth statement.

It is pertinent to mention here that Regional Tax Office speed up the pace of tax recovery and advising defaulters to pay tax. During the second phase their bank accounts will be freeze and amount will be deducted from their bank accounts.

Before this the Regional Tax Office two (RTO-II) has sent notices to the Waqar Younus, Wahab Riaz, Ahmed Shehzad, Muhammad Hafeez and Zulifqar Baber.
