RTOs decide to launch campaign against tax defaulters

LAHORE: Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Regional Tax Office-I&II (RTO-I&II) chief commissioners have determined to take stern action against the tax defaulters.

According to the details, RTO-I Chief Commissioner Tasneem Rehman and RTO-II chief commissioner held meetings with the commissioners to make strategies in order to achieve the set target of current fiscal year. It may mention here that current fiscal year is about to finish, therefore, the officials have expedited the efforts.

In the meeting, the chief commissioners ordered to launch a tax recovery campaign. The officials were also directed to freeze the bank accounts and seize the properties of the tax defaulters, sources said.

The sources added that the FBR initially will take action against the big defaulters, especially sales tax defaulters.
