VTCS: Tax officials still not called back from facilitation desks

LAHORE: The Regional Tax Offices (RTOs) of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has not shifted the Inland Revenue Officers (IROs) and Inspectors in the zones, who were posted on the kiosks for the collection of returns under the Voluntary Tax Compliance Scheme (VTCS). The kiosks were set up in Lahore, Shikhupura and Kasur.

According to the details, the RTOs had set up many kiosks to collect the returns under VTCS and Many officers are still posted on that places. The deadline to collect returns has passed.

After the closing date, the RTOs did not post back the officers to their respective zones and the officers are still deployed on the facilitation desks without work. On the other side, only one month is remaining for the ongoing financial year and the RTOs need more and more manpower to meet the targets for the year 2015-16.
