Sailkot ASO seizes smuggled cigarettes, energy drinks

SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) seized smuggled cigarettes of Pine brand and energy drinks worth Rs 200,000 during an action.

Reportedly, ASO incharge Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir along with his team comprising Inspector Sheikh Ikram and others raided various shops in Sambrial, Sialkot and Wazirabad and found the shopkeepers involved in selling of non-duty paid goods.

During the raid, the ASO team recovered cigarettes of Pine brand and tins of energy drinks, which were brought into country without the payment of duty/taxes causing loss to national exchequer. The team also warned the shopkeepers of stern action if they found involved in such crime.
