SIALKOT: Surgical forging units have opposed the sales tax registration policy of the Federal Board of Revenue.
Surgical Instruments Manufacturers Association of Pakistan Chairman Fazal Jilani expressed concern over the situation and said that surgical forging was a process of manufacturing surgical instruments which does not fall in the purview of General Sales Tax.
He sought exemption for all 200 surgical instruments manufacturing units in Daska and Sialkot.
