Sara-i-Muhajir FIU impounds NDP Hino truck

SARA-I-MUHAJIR: The Field Intelligence Unit (FIU) impounded a non- duty paid Hino truck. The market value of the smuggled vehicle is Rs 10 million involving customs duties and taxes of Rs2.7 million.

Sources told Customs Today that Superintendent Customs I&I, Muhammad Tahir Iqbal received a tip off regarding the above said vehicle.

He immediately constituted a raiding team comprising Intelligence Officer Ansar Saleemi, Adnan Chandio and Sepoy Usman Iqbal, Fakhar Abbas, Muhammad Mukhtar.

The raiding team intercepted a Hino truck bearing registration no: C 9368 Swat model 2000 engine capacity 180-HP. The team asked the driver of the vehicle, who was identified as Fazal Rehman to produce the legal documents regarding the possession of Nissan truck but he failed to show the same.

So the authorities took the vehicle into possession and registered a case against the accused driver.
