Saudi Customs confirms Levies SR 27.9b fiscal year 2014

RIYADH:The Saudi Customs confirmed it levied in the last fiscal year 2014 an amount of SR (27.9) billion of which SR (3.4) billion incurred by the State as part of the support for some of the goods imported into the Kingdom, pointing to the increase in the proportion of customs revenues for fiscal year 2013 by about (12.20%).

This came within the thirty-third annual report of the Saudi Customs statistics for 2014, which dealt with the most important achievements in the development and facilitation of customs work, supported by figures and statistics, which is a comprehensive reference to the Kingdom’s foreign trade and economic and trade movement.

The report highlighted the customs revenues that have been collected in 2014, noting that the value of the Kingdom’s imports of goods during the fiscal year 2014 amounted to SR 652 billion, an increase of 3% for 2013, which was worth SR (630.9) billion, pointing out that the Kingdom’s exports of non-oil commodities rose by 8% amounting to SR 190 billion.
