SBP announces revised banking hours for Ramazan

KARACHI: The State Bank of Pakistan has announced revised banking hours for the holy month of Ramazan, applicable to banks nationwide with immediate effect.

According to the central bank’s official statement, banks will remain open for public dealing from 9:00am to 2:00pm from Monday to Thursday during Ramazan.

On Fridays, banking services for customers will be available from 9:00am to 12:30pm.

The State Bank clarified that there will be no break during working hours throughout Ramazan, ensuring uninterrupted banking services across the country.

The revised schedule has been introduced to facilitate both banking staff and customers during the month of fasting.

Officials said the new timings aim to maintain smooth financial operations while aligning with Ramazan working patterns followed across various sectors in Pakistan. All commercial banks have been directed to strictly implement the revised timings.
