KARACHI: State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has directed commercial banks to facilitate the collection of government duties and taxes on September 30 by opening of branches for extended hours.
A circular issued by the central bank said to facilitate the collection of government duties and taxes, NIFT will provide special clearing facility on the advice of SBP on September 30 at 5:00 pm.
Banks are, therefore, advised to keep their concerned branches open on September 30 till such time that is necessary to facilitate special clearing for government transactions.
