Seminar organized on ‘Customs clearance export, import cargo’

NEW DELHI: A seminar on “Customs clearance of export and import cargo” was jointly organised by the Federation of Indian Export Organisation (FIEO), Engineering Export Promotion Council and Director General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) here today.

In his presentation, Dr Ram Singh, Prof, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade, New Delhi, elaborated on the procedure of clearing cargo in import and export. He described all the processes through power point presentation.

Navtej Singh, Assistant Director General of Foreign Trade, also gave a brief description on the incentives being offered to the exporters under Niryat Bandhu Scheme. He asked exporters to take benefit of the schemes under the policy 2015-20.

Gaurav Gupta, chapter head, Federation of Indian Export Organisation , urged exporters to take the benefit of the FIEO as its office had opened in the Amritsar. Gupta exhorted exporters to take part in events and seminars organised by the export organisation on various subjects to keep themselves abreast with new developments.
