The committee also announced to visit all the women chambers, in every city of Pakistan and then we will finalize our recommendations for improvement in the working of women chambers of Pakistan.  The committee met here under the convenership of Senator Rubina Khalid to finalize the recommendations for improvement in the working of women chambers of Pakistan.

The convener asked from all the women’s representing their particular women chambers to inform the participants of meeting about the recommendations for improvement in the working of women chambers of Pakistan.  The ex-president from Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry informed that they have been warmly welcomed by International Embassies like Hungary and Italy.

The convener was of the view that the representation on international forum either by exchange of delegation or by conducting of exhibition costs an expense from Federal Government, but the Government needs an output out of all the expenses that is to be made on such activities.  There are numerous Vocational canters operating in Pakistan that cost the millions of government expenditure; but they are not productive in yielding anything in favor of State.

Senator Rubina Khalid called upon the representative women’s from all the Chambers to connect those vocational centers with their chambers, by means of conducting workshops and training for the artisans. She informed the members of meetings that the Pakistan needs women empowerment in right direction.

The managing director and representative from National Institute of Cultural Studies also deliver their status on their working for the empowerment of women. They informed that 1000 women have been trained vocationally and entrepreneurially.

Senator Rubina Khalid appreciated the effort of National Institute of Cultural Studies for working in this space. She also suggested that all the leading women from women chambers should have a meeting with Chinese ambassador so as to have a look at trade map. She endorsed in the meeting that women are in dire need of economic empowerment and they have to contribute in every walk of life.

The former Vice-President from Islamabad Women Chamber also raises their concerns about establishment of Women Head offices/Chambers in every city of Pakistan, where the Convener also nodded in agreement with the recommendation. The Punjab Women Chamber also raised two issues in introduction of trade in international market I.e., Currency exchange and price setting on export items
