Senate Standing Committee approves 20pc increase in salaries of govt employees

ISLAMABAD: The Senate Standing Committee on Finance has approved 20 percent increase in salaries of the government employees.

The committee met here under the chairmanship of Senator Saleem H. Mandviwala. The committee also reviewed the Budget 2016-17. Among those who attended the meeting were Senator Mohsin Khan Leghari, Miss Ayesha Raza Farooq, Mushahidullah, Saud Majeed, Sardar Fateh Mohammad Hasni, Mohsin Aziz, Farhatullah Babar, Mohammad Usman Khan Kakar, Azam Swati and Secretary Finance Ministry Waqar Masood.
