Earlier, the petitioner’s counsel stated that petitioner is engaged in imports/exports, manufacturer of fabric and garments business and regularly files monthly sales tax returns and income tax returns annually.

According to the petitioner, on June 14, 2014, petitioner was surprised when he founded that his profile for the filing of sales tax return is shown as suspended without the issuance of any show cause notice. The counsel argued that the act of the respondents was illegal, mala fide an d unjustified.

Citing secretary ministry of finance, chairman FBR,  chief commissioner Inland Revenue, Regional Tax Office -1 and others as respondents, the petitioner pleaded the SHC may restore its sales tax registration and restrain the respondents from taking any coercive action against him.
