SHC hears case of mis-declaration against Ali Qureshi

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court on Monday heard a post-arrest bail plea filed by Ali Qureshi who is allegedly involved in mis-declaration of description, classification and value of goods.

A single judge comprising Justice Salahudin Panwar heard the case of violation of the import policy and directed the customs officer to ensure the personal appearance in the court.

According to the details, goods declaration bearing No. KAPE-HC 81252-16-12-2015 had been cleared through mis-declaration of description, classification value of the goods and violation of the import policing order. The aspects of GD were checked and found that GD was assessed without consulting the test report.

Whereas examination report shows that sample were drawn and sent to Customs House laboratory, but the accused person allegedly got clearance illegally.
