SHC issues stay order against demotion of 39 TCP officials

KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) has issued stay order against the demotion of 10 officers and 29 employees of Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP) here on the other day.
The TCP sources informed Customs Today that those 39 TCP’s officials were demoted by the illegally formed TCP board of directors.
The sources further said that the Sindh High Court (SHC) in its verdict also mentioned that the formation of the board of directors was illegal and a violation of the Corporate Governance Rules, 2013. The SHC has adjourned the hearing of the case till August 20, 2014.
