Shipping activity at Port Qasim

KARACHI: Three ships carrying Containers and Pet Cock, berthed at Qasim International Containers Terminal (QICT) and Multi Purpose Terminal respectively.

Meanwhile four more ships carrying Containers and Soya Been also arrived at outer anchorage of Port Qasim during last 24 hours.

Berth occupancy was 85 percent at the port on Tuesday where nine ships namely RDO Concord, MSC General, Josco Jinzhow, Ikan Siakap, Eastern Sun, Super Star, Argent Habiscus, Ex Quisite and Pacific Berly occupied berths to load/offload Containers, Cement, Pet Cock, Soya Been, Chemical, LNG and Furnace Oil respectively during last 24 hours.

A cargo volume of 94904 tonnes comprising 71970 tonnes imports and 22934 tonnes exports inclusive of containerized cargo carried in 1473 containers (TEUs) were handled at the Port during last 24 hours.
