Sialkot ASO impounds non-duty paid Toyota Hilux Surf

SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has impounded a non-duty paid vehicle, Toyota Hilux Surf, worth Rs 1.3 million during an action.

Sialkot ASO incharge Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary deputed Inspector Sheikh Ikram on Grand Trunk (GT) Road to check vehicles.

The inspector along with his team checked many vehicles. Meanwhile, he intercepted a Toyota Hilux Surf for checking. The officials asked the driver to show documents regarding the customs clearance of the vehicle but he could not produce the same.

Therefore, the officials impounded the vehicle worth Rs 1.3 million under the customs laws but released the driver after initial interrogation.
