Sialkot ASO recovers smuggled items worth Rs 2.888m from April to May 2016

SIALKOT: The Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) of Model Customs House Sialkot has seized smuggled items worth Rs 2.888 million from April to May 2016.

Official sources told Customs Today that the ASO team has impounded non-duty paid vehicles which were being used in smuggling of illicit items. The sources said that the ASO has registered only three cases during the month of April and confiscated 585 kilograms of foreign origin cloth worth Rs 600,000.

Sources said that ASO authorities registered one case in May against non-duty paid vehicle worth Rs 2,000,000. ASO authorities after registering cases against accused persons forwarded these cases to Customs Adjudication department for further proceedings.
