Sialkot ASO seizes items worth Rs 8m till May 25

SIALKOT: The Custom Anti Smuggling Organization (ASO) confiscated several contraband items, including juice, cloth, iron, garments, vehicles etc. worth Rs 8 million during May so far.

Following the directions of Customs Collctor Ahmad Reza, the ASO staff under the supervision of Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary busted various smuggling attempts in the regions.

The officials seized 200 crates of Rani Juice worth Rs 250,000, 400 cloth irons worth Rs 400,000, Indian garments worth Rs 400,000, Toyota Crown worth Rs 2 million, Toyota Prado worth Rs 2 million, Toyota Crown worth Rs 1 million and Toyota Surf worth Rs 1 million and other items.

Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary told Customs Today that all items will be auctioned soon after getting permission from authorities concerned and lab test of vehicles.
