Sialkot ASO seizes juices, cloth and cigarettes worth Rs 1.2m

SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organization (ASO) has confiscated energy juices, dry fruit, shoes, clothes, cigarettes worth Rs 1.2 million during raids on Grand Trunk Road.

The confiscated items were smuggled from China, Korea, and Iran etc. Officials said that an anti-smuggling campaign has been started against smugglers in whole of Pakistan; therefore, the Sialkot ASO has started speedy operations against smugglers.

They said that Additional Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary was taking keen interest to curb smuggling, adding that all suspects transport come from Peshawar, Quetta, Karachi, Azad Jammu And Kashmir and Rawalpindi was being checked at check posts. General bus stand and Railways Station were checked time to time in order to confiscate the smuggled items.
