Sialkot ASO seizes smuggled cell phones, semi-precious stones

SIALKOT: The Customs Anti-Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has confiscated cell phones and semi-precious stones recovered from a van during checking on Grand Trunk (GT) Road.

ASO Incharge Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir, along with his team, was performing his duty to check vehicles on Sialkot-Rawalpindi GT Road when a van was intercepted for checking which led to the recovery of cell phones and semi-precious stones.

The assistant collector asked the driver to show document if he had regarding the legal import of the items, but the driver tried to make excuses instead of showing the document; therefore, the customs officials confiscated the items and registered a case against the accused person.
