Sialkot ASO seizes smuggled Indian cloth during road checking

SIALKOT: The Customs Anti Smuggling Organisation (ASO) has recovered 17 bundles of Indian origin cloth worth Rs 300,000.

Sources informed Customs Today that Assistant Collector Fahad Bashir Chaudhary constituted a team under the supervision of Inspector Ikram Sheikh.

The team started checking of vehicles on GT Road near Kamoke Toll Plaza. During the checking of vehicles, the team intercepted a small wagon and recovered 17 bundles of Indian origin cloth.

The ASO team seized the cloth and shifted it to the warehouse of Customs House. Sources said that the ASO team registered a case of smuggling and forwarded it to the customs adjudication for further proceedings.
