Sialkot Collector Reza assures exporters of resolving their issues on priority

SIALKOT: Collector of Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Sialkot Ahmed Reza Khan has assured the Sialkot exporters of addressing their customs related issues on priority as the Model Customs Collectorate (MCC) Sialkot is striving to ensure early clearance of all the pending rebate and refund claims of Sialkot exporters.

He said this while talking to President Sialkot Chamber Of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) Majid Raza Bhutta, Senior Vice-President Adnan Sethi and Vice-President Mian Imran Akbar in a special meeting on the other day.

Reza added that the MCC Sialkot is providing advanced export-related facilities to Sialkot exporters and importers besides ensuring rapid clearance of the export consignments at Sialkot Dry Port Trust (SDPT) and Sialkot International Airport Limited (SIAL). He remarked that the MCC Sialkot earning great confidence of the Sialkot exporters as they are satisfied with the facilities provided by the MCC Sialkot.

He added that the Sialkot exporters are injecting fresh blood in the national economy by earning precious foreign exchange. Collector Ahmed Reza Khan also disclosed that the MCC Sialkot has started the process of paying a large number of prolonged pending rebate claims to Sialkot exporters on priority enabling them to boost their business activities. He pledged to leave no stone unturned for promoting the exports from Sialkot. He said there is a huge potential of exports from Sialkot city.

At the end, SCCI President Majid Raza Bhutta said exporters of Sialkot are the “Roaming Ambassadors of Pakistan” who travel all around the world to fetch business. The export earning of Sialkot stands at $2billion annually which is eight percent of the total exports of Pakistan.
