Sialkot Customs impounds Toyota Surf

SIALKOT: The Anti Smuggling Organisation (ASO) Zone-III has impounded a non-duty paid Toyota Surf during the checking of vehicle on Grand Trunk Road.

ASO Zone-III Incharge Assistant Collector deputed Superintendent Naeem Khan to form the check points in zone-III and checking of vehicles. Superintendent Naeem along with his team members Inspector Muhammad Mansha and others started checking in said area.

While the checking of vehicles the team intercepted a Toyota Surf vehicle which was playing on road without customs paid duty tax. The Customs officials asked the driver about r documents of customs paid duty but he remained failed to satisfy them. The team impounded vehicle worth Rs.1 million and shifted to compound of Customs House.

The Superintendent told Customs Today that the vehicle will be sent to laboratory for forensic test and verification by the Excise and Taxation Department about registration. After this process the case will be referred to adjudication court for further proceeding. The team released driver after proper interrogation.

The Anti Smuggling Campaign is continue in Gujranwala Division whereas the Customs departments taking keen interest to curb smuggling whereas the fruitful results are observing by the zone-III to curb smuggling.

However the Chairman Federal Board Of Revenue (FBR) Nisar Muhammad Khan is also taking interest to curb smuggling and he has issued orders to all concerned departments of anti smuggling that take strict action to curb smuggling. However Collector Customs of Model Customs House Ahmed Reza Khan is also very interested and he has deeply eyes against smugglers while he has spread net of informers so that informers intimate him against the activities of smugglers in Gujranwala Division and his missions is going very successful to against eradication of smugglers.
