Sialkot excise seals 312 properties, impounds 202 non-duty paid vehicles

SIALKOT: The Excise and Taxation Department, Gujranwala Region, has sealed 312 properties and impounded 202 vehicles during a crackdown against tax defaulters.

Sources informed Customs Today that Director Excise Rao Shakeelur Rehman deployed 27 teams to collect property and professional taxes as well as check non-customs paid and token tax defaulter vehicles.

Sources said that excise issued them many notices but the owners of these property, and vehicles failed to clear pending tax dues. After their failure excise authorities decided to take strict action against these defaulters.  During crackdown excise teams sealed 312 properties and impounded 202 non-duty paid vehicles.

Excise warned general public to clear pending tax amount as early as possible to avoid further legal action othewise strict action will be taken against them.
