Sialkot FIA nabs six agents-turned human traffickers

SIALKOT: The Federal Investigation Agency(FIA) has arrested six agents-turned-human traffickers identified as Zafar Iqbal, Gulzar, Lala Rafiq, Aman, Muhammad Ahmed and Iqbal Gondal during its ongoing crackdown in Sialkot, Narowal, Gujrat, Mandi Bahaud Din, Hafizabad and Gujranwala districts.

C. Khalid Anees, FIA deputy director in Gujranwala Division, told Customs Today that the accused had been involved in sending innocent people abroad, especially to Greece, Turkey, Italy, Saudi Arabia, Dubai, France and other Middle East countries by extorting big amounts from them.

He said that the FIA teams have also seized the dozens of the passports, fake visa and travelling documents of different embassies, fake visa stamps and embossing machines from their travel agencies-cum-offices as well.
