KARACHI: The property tax branch of the Excise and Taxation Department has recovered Rs 8.85 million property taxes from defaulter during the last three months. The department has set deadline of March 28 to collect 6.05 million from the property tax defaulters.
Property tax incharge district central Ibrar Shah has said that following the directions of Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Gyan Chand Ersani, the department has sped up the collection process.
He said that the department would collect 80 percent of the property tax from defaulters and would seal the property of the owners who were reluctant to pay their property tax.
