KARACHI: Excise and Taxation Department Sindh has started survey of property tax in Lyari, Usmanabad, Garden and other adjacent areas of Karachi.
Incharge of survey team, Shabir Somroo while talking to Customs Today said that the survey was started last month but due to some reasons it was not completed. He said that notices were also issued to the tax defaulters who are residing in the above mentioned areas. Properties of tax defaulters will be sealed.
Answering to a question he said final notices were issued to three flour godowns, four residential quarters and eight bungalows in previous survey and deadline was given to clear outstanding tax dues, which is already expired on 20th January 2016.
