KARACHI: The Sindh Revenue Board has started proceedings against defaulters of sales tax. The board has also suspended the membership of four customs clearing agents who are found involved in non-payment of sales tax.
Sources of Sindh Revenue Board told Customs Today that final notices are already dispatched to the defaulters, asking them to clear their outstanding dues otherwise a stern action will be taken against them.
Sources said that authorities are already suspended the membership of Kamran Associates, Moatar Associates, Khadim Associates, BN Enterprises and ask them to stop functioning till further orders. Authorities takes this action according to Sindh Sales Tax Act 2010.
According to Sindh Sales Tax Act Rules 2011 Sindh Revenue Board reserves the right to suspended membership of any customs clearing agent who found involved in defaulting.
