Smuggled goods & vehicle valued Rs4.17m impounded during 10th to 16th of June

ISLAMABAD: The Anti-Smuggling Organization Islamabad (ASO) impounded different kinds of smuggled goods and one Non-Duty-Paid vehicle worth Rs4.17million during 10th to 16th of June’s Financial Year (FY) 2016-17.

According to Deputy Collector ASO Ansir Anics, the ASO has geared up its efforts to do more and more seizures. During said period, the ASO made seven seizures against tax evaders and smugglers. During said seizures, the ASO confiscated 50 kilogram of break oil, 100 kg of pinion kara and 445 kg of motor machine wipers.
During above said period, the ASO confiscated two General Split ACs, OMEGA German Invertors, 35 Shock Absorbers, 45 kg bearing Assy, two Toyota Corolla head beam lights, 290 kg of ladies suiting cotton Viscose fabric, 350 kg of ladies suiting plain polyester cloth, 515 kg ladies suiting polyester cloth, 348 kg ladies cloth, 204 kg ladies dopata cloth, four Nos of Air-conditioners window type 7000 BTU.
During 10th to 16th of June FY16-17, the ASO seized 28 kilogram smuggled Panteen Shampoo, 50 kg black tea, 476 MOBO mobile Phones, three Laptops and 11 kilogram of Viagra tablets. During said period, the ASO squad confiscated a Land Cruiser from Rawalpindi area on a tip-off passed by Collector Dr. Arslan. The ASO Islamabad has expedited its efforts against notorious people involved in smuggling.
