Customs Court sends smugglers on 15 days remand in Lahore

LAHORE: The Custom Taxation and Anti -Smuggling Court Lahore has sent three smugglers to jail on judicial remand for 15 days.

Smuggler Rozi Khan was arrested by Custom Intelligence in a smuggling case FIR number 5/15. Custom Intelligence brought him to the court for further remand where duty Judge ordered to send him to jail for judicial remand of 15 days. Rozi Khan was involved in smuggling of Plastic materials and PHD grains from Iran through Balochistan in Lahore.

He had deprived the national exchequer of Rs 502 million in the form of taxes and duties.

The Custom I&I arrested him and brought him to the court after investigation where court ordered his 15 days judicial remand.

In another case, Custom Intelligence and Investigation presented two accused before the court where duty Judge sent both of them to jail.  Muhammad Naeem and Asghar were also involved in smuggling of different items from Afghanistan and Iran. The Custom Intelligence and Investigation had registered a case against Naeem and Asghar. They were wanted in FIR number 6/15 registered by Customs intelligence and Investigation Lahore.

Both smugglers Muhammad naeem and his partner Asghar had deprived the national kitty of duty and taxes worth Rs 5.17 million. Now, the Court has ordered to send them to jail on 15 days Judicial remand.
