South Africa police confiscate illicit Tik worth  R51,300

CAPE TOWN: South African police seized illicit Tik worth of R51,300 along with other drugs in Kuils River, near Cape Town, Western Cape police said here the other day.

“Mandrax tablets with an approximate street value of R950, tik with an estimated street value of R51,300 and dagga to the estimated street value of R1,044 have been confiscated,” said Colonel Tembinkosi Kinana in a statement.

In Mitchells Plain police arrested 172 people during the week for charges including the possession of illegal firearms and ammunition and drugs.

“Drugs confiscated are 28 heroine units, 156 packets [of] tik, 110 mandrax tablets and 233g dagga,” he said.
