SUKKUR: Pakistan Customs Sukkur has seized around 195 kg of fine quality charas after recovering the contraband item from a Toyota car No. BCE- 599 in Khanpur area near Sukkur on Wednesday.
The car was coming from Quetta via Kashmore district. The narcotic sealed in bags was concealed in the cavities of the vehicle and the value of the contraband in the international market is reportedly more than Rs 22.50 million.
In-charge, Customs Check Post Inspector Aziz Katper supervised the proceedings of the recovery. The Sukkur Customs on the directives of Chief Collector Customs Manzoor Memon has stepped up its crackdown in curbing the smuggling of contraband goods. A case has been registered by the department.
