MULTAN: Multan Tax Bar Association have elected Mueed Khawaja as President and Imran Laghari as General Secretary in tax bar association election for calendar year 2015-16.
Tax Bar Association elections were conducted in the Regional Tax Office Multan in the supervision of Chief Election Commissioner Muhammad Saleem Bukhari.
According to Chief Election Commissioner of Tax Bar Association, there were total 110 votes casted in the election out of which 6 votes were rejected. Winning candidate Mueed Khawaja has secured 55 votes in election against 49 votes from runner up candidate Muhammad Younas Ghazi.
Rana Rashid Bashir has been elected Vice President and General Secretary Imran Laghari also elected unopposed in tax bar association election. Joint Secretary Shabbir Ansari has won his seat in election by securing 76 votes and his opponent Taj Muhammad got 26 votes.
Finance secretary Kanwar Tanvir, Executive Members Muhammad Attique ,Muhammad Jamil, Noreen Anjum and Safdar Ansari were also elected unopposed in tax bar association election.
