Tax evasion: Customs Export issues final notice to M/s Shamim Textile & Exports

KARACHI: The Customs Export has issued final tax notice to the management of M/s Shamim Textile and Exports for payment of evaded taxes and duty amounting to Rs 1.3 million.

Sources told Customs Today that M/s Shamim Textile and Exports imported six consignments of embroidery silk by using SRO 566. During the scrutiny of import data of the company it was revealed that M/s Shamim Textile and Exports and their customs clearing agents availed undue concessions and benefits by using SRO 566 and caused a loss of Rs 1.3 million to the national kitty.
