KARACHI: The Customs Export has issued final tax notice to the management of M/s Shamim Textile and Exports for payment of evaded taxes and duty amounting to Rs 1.3 million.
Sources told Customs Today that M/s Shamim Textile and Exports imported six consignments of embroidery silk by using SRO 566. During the scrutiny of import data of the company it was revealed that M/s Shamim Textile and Exports and their customs clearing agents availed undue concessions and benefits by using SRO 566 and caused a loss of Rs 1.3 million to the national kitty.
After detecting tax evasion Customs Exports authorities directed the management of M/s Shamim Textile and Exports to deposit evaded amount of tax and duty along with fine within fourteen days otherwise stern action will be taken against the above said company which will led to attachment of bank accounts and seizure of property.
