KARACHI: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has decided to take stern action against owners of luxury vehicles from January 2016 who have evaded duties and taxes during the last two years, it has learnt.
According to the details, FBR has decided to take action against those owners who have not paid tax after selling or buying luxury vehicles for last two years. The FBR in first phase will freeze accounts of those luxury vehicles owners who have not National Tax Number (NTN) while those who have NTN number will also be treated the same way.
Sources further said that the FBR will send noticed in the first phase and after non-compliance by the tax evaders, the FBR will freeze their bank accounts.
