Tax evasion of Rs 7.2m: RTO-I attaches Arslan Iftekhar bank account

LAHORE: Regional Tax Office one (RTO-I) freeze the bank account of Arslan Iftekhar in 7.2 million tax evasion and recovered Rs 2.8 million from his bank accounts.

Sources told Customs Today that Regional Tax office-I take action against Arslan Iftekhar son of ex-Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftekhar Muhammad Chudhary in 7.2 million tax default case.

Arslan Iftekhar defaults in two cases he is defaulter of Rs 3.7 million ine one case and 3.5 millions in another case, RTO team comprising Commissioner Sadia Sadaf Gillani, Deputy Commissioner Shazia Gull and Inspector Aslam Pervaiz takes actions and attached Arslan Iftekhar bank account.

RTO-I Zone-III team recovered Rs 2.8 millions from Arslan Iftekhar bank account that was opened in Silk Bank branch Liberty market Lahore.

Arslan Iftekhar was non filer in financial year 2012-13 and not pays taxes from last three years, FBR gives time but finally Board takes action against Dr. Arslan Iftekhar.

RTO team takes action under the section 122 (c) of income tax ordinance 2001.
