Textile mills case: SHC admits appeal against single judge order

KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) has admitted appeals against order/decree issued by a single judge of SHC who decreed in favor of textile mills and others holding that exemption is available to them on operating generators.

SHC appellate bench comprising Justice Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi and Justice Nazar Akbar. The suit was decreed by Justice Junaid Ghaffar who besides allowing exemption also ordered federal board of revenue to refund the differential amount paid by the plaintiffs. The bench accepting the appeal filed by the department argued by Masooda Siraj advocate fixed April 11 for hearing the same.
